I wanted to take a few minutes to share with all of you a little bit about who we are here at Bodine's Baking Co. We get asked often how we got started in baking and just other get to know us questions so here we go.....
My husband Jason and I have been together for almost 10 years and married for most of them. We have two boys Landin and Carter who keep us on our toes from one minute to the next. Jason works full time at a car dealership as a Service Manager and I am a stay at home mom who is also homeschooling our boys. I am the primary baker of all of our goodies but I must credit my start in baking to Jason. I always jokingly say he domesticated me as I could hardly peel a potato before we got married (I'm not lying I really couldn't). Jason is the creative force here. He can really do anything he puts his mind to so what you see on our cakes is his creation. Opening Bodine's Baking Co. was a major decision for us and a huge leap of faith. We did not take any orders prior to opening our business we simply baked for our friends and family so our customer base has grown literally from zero to where it is today which is a huge blessing to us. A year ago this was all really just "a one day maybe dream" for us and now we are actually doing it!! We decided that we would go about building our business based on quality and excellent customer service so starting small was the right choice for us. I believe one day that we will grow into a store front but for right now this is perfect. Our faith is a big part of who we are and what we strive to do. We currently go to Renaissance in downtown Decatur. Jason also plays guitar and really enjoys serving with the worship band and just playing music in general. I enjoy gardening, yard work and cleaning (when I'm not baking that is). We also enjoy family walks and movie nights. We aren't all that exciting and life is pretty simple for us and I speak for both of us when I say we wouldn't change a thing even all the bumps and bruises that have happened along the way. So there it is a little bit about who we are. If there is more you'd like to know feel free to ask!!
